Price from 2990 €
Duration 17 days
UAM-15

About the trip

With our individual tours we offer you the comfort of a vacation organized with German thoroughness in combination with the independence of an individually planned trip.

An eventful tour, full of sights and very varied landscapes, which can be divided into three parts- The highlands with its very varied landscape- The humid forest of the east and its wealth of fauna and flora.

Particularly interesting in this tour is the boat trip on the Pangalan Channel, a boat trip along the east coast with incredible landscapes. An area forgotten by tourism.

A string of natural rivers, streams, lakes and artificial canals stretches along the east coast of Madagascar. Parallel to the Indian Ocean, the Pangalanes Canal stretches 700 km from Tamatave to Farafangana. On its way, the canal crosses forests and villages. A boat trip on the Pangalanes is a real discovery of Madagascar.

In the form of lakes or lagoons, the landscapes are permanent exhibitions in unusual places of life. We meet fishermen on their dugout canoes, rafts that carry mountains of fruit ... An invitation to travel on the channel of Pangalanes for the curious and the freshwater sailors.

The arid south, the savannahs with their specific fauna & flora. An adventure to share with the inhabitants of different Malagasy ethnic groups. They will be happy to introduce you to their country and their customs. All in all, this tour allows you to show a rich overview of a very diverse part of this fascinating island island.

Many extensions and connecting tours are possible, the offers are only examples of possibilities that can still be personally adapted to the individual expectations of the guests upon request.

Help

FOR MADAGASCAR

After 10 months of total inactivity, self-employed people in the tourism industry in Madagascar are completely without income. There is no opening of the borders in sight in Madagascar and we are at the beginning of the rainy season, which is the low season, even in normal times. I have started a fundraiser for the guides and drivers I know well. From this money we will buy rice and other essentials and distribute them regularly, if possible, until the resumption of travel activities in April 2021 at the earliest. My special thanks to those who have already donated. I will start buying rice tomorrow and will begin distributing it this week.
