Next you will reach a crater lake and finally the well greened small town of Ampefywhere you all have time to stroll around a little. In the cozy Belle Vue find your camp for the night. |
Day 8: Tearing waterfalls and bubbling geysers (approx. 5-6h riding time)Cross a unique volcanic landscape on the banks of the Lily River until you reach its source. There you will have a clear view of the paradise Lily waterfalls, which plunge up to 25m into the depths. You also have the opportunity to buy some souvenirs made of pumice stone, which are made by the locals themselves. After this short rest, you will ride across black volcanic rock and reach in the late afternoon the bubbling geysers. In the evening you will be served a typical dinner. You will spend the night in a cozy tented camp. |
