This tour is despite the proximity to Antananarivo in an unspoiled nature because the area of the lake of Mantasoa are accessible only by dirt roads.
Day 1: Arrival in AntananarivoOur team will greet you immediately upon arrival at Ivato International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Villa Sibylle is a private guesthouse near the airport, surrounded by a tropical garden. Relax from the flight and enjoy your first dinner there in Madagascar with an overnight stay. |
Day 2 - Antananarivo - AnjozorobeDaily stage from 130 km You will leave the capital in a northeasterly direction to reach the town of Anjozorobe. Admire the relief of Anjozorobe, the vastness of the plains, hills and forests. |
Day 3 - Anjozorobe - MantasoaStage for the day: 160 km Explore the trails that lead to Mantasoa, east of the capital. On an artificial lake of 2,000 hectares and 95 miles of shoreline, surrounded by pine forests and eucalyptus trees, with hundreds of miles of trails, all kinds of stays are possible. |
Day 4 - Mantasoa - AmbatolampyDaily stage from 152 km In the early morning we continue towards the Ankarana massif. Wonderful tracks away from any form of tourism. Enjoy the atmosphere in the small rural town of Ambatolampy. |
Day 5 - Ambatolampy - AmpefyDay stage of about166 km After breakfast you will drive in the direction of Ampefy. You will travel on the dirt roads of the highlands, atFaratsio you will go up to over 2000 meters and then you will head west. Once in Ampefy, you will admire the volcanic area in the center of Madagascar. |
Day 6 - Ampefy - AntananarivoDay stage from 180 km After this passage in Ampefy, you will follow the tracks again to get to the capital. Admire the landscapes of the plateaus and the daily life of the population in the villages you pass through. |
Day 7 - Granite enduro round TanaDaily stage of about 100 km On this last day you will have the opportunity to explore the slopes around Antananarivo. End of the tour at the Villa Sibylle |
