The two-lake tour in four days is an adventure for the casual endurist.
You will follow the slopes until the lake of Tsiazompaniry, then continue eastward to visit the famous lake of Mantasoa, enjoying every moment while discovering the multiple facets of the plateaus.
This circuit offers you the natural beauty of the highlands.
This is a relatively short connecting tour that can be extended or adapted to other variants on request.
These short tours all start from the capital Antananarivo and they are meant as connecting tours to other trips with or without motorcycle.
This tour is despite the proximity to Antananarivo in an unspoiled nature because the area of the lake of Tsiazompaniry and Mantasoa are accessible only by dirt roads.
Extension is recommended, we can optionally take over the stay there as well as any other variant of connecting tours...
Day 1: Arrival in AntananarivoOur team will greet you immediately upon arrival at Ivato International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Villa Sibylle is a private guesthouse near the airport, surrounded by a tropical garden. Relax from the flight and enjoy your first dinner there in Madagascar with an overnight stay. |
Day 2 - Antananarivo - AnjozorobeDaily stage of 130 KM At the beginning of the first day of the trip you will drive to Anjozorobe, a small village in the Imerina area. It is known that in this area there is one of the last remnants of the primary forest that once covered the highlands. |
Day 3 - Anjozorobe - MantasoaStage of about 160 KM On the third day you will drive on the route that will take you to Mantasoa. You will discover an extraordinary panorama of hills and cliffs before reaching the huge lake. |
Day 4 - Mantasoa - AntananarivoStage from 90 KM In the last stage of this enduro tour, depending on your momentary desires, the guide will propose you different itineraries with different levels of difficulty to return to the capital. The tour ends in the afternoon of this day but an overnight stay and dinner at Villa Sibylle or another tour are of course optional. |
ChecklistPlease stay with your luggage under 45 lbs weight (equivalent to 20 kg) Bags: A duffel bag is ideal, a hiking bag is also suitable (without steel bar). You can secure your bag with a padlock. Please remember to mark the bag with your address and the address of vacation in Madagascar. A small backpack of 20 liters is good for the things of daily use, such as the camera and sunscreen. Sleeping bag: A mattress is provided on site for overnight stays. If you wish more comfort, please bring an additional foam mattress. Sleeping bag is required. Beds, mattresses and comforters are available on site. Additional comfort such as pillows depends on each fellow traveler themselves. Clothing and personal equipment: Two light pants, four shirts (also with long sleeves for sun protection), a swimsuit, sweater or jacket for cold nights, sunglasses, hat, light sports shoes, sleeping bag, flip-flops, flashlight with batteries. Special motorcycle clothing: Motorcycle boots or waterproof trekking shoes are highly recommended, light leather or synthetic motorcycle jacket, rain gear, gloves, helmet. |
